Success in Codingame Summer Challenge 2023
12,137 participants registered for the Summer Challenge 2023 on the CodinGame platform. Among them, thirty were from the University of Wrocław (UWr), which once again secured the top position in the school and university rankings. The most significant contributions to our victory came from: Daniel Górski (Ph.D. student), Artur Kraska (employee), Michał Jaworski (graduate), Dawid Skowronek (student), Adam Gańczorz (Ph.D. student).
This edition was slightly different from the previous ones: it was a comprehensive test consisting of 10 tasks in the fields of programming, databases, and algorithms. Anyone interested in taking on these tasks can do so outside the competition (click on the See Puzzles button).
Competitions on this platform are where students, Ph.D. candidates, employees, and graduates can compete together for their own intellectual satisfaction. To date, there have been 12 CodinGame contests with school and university rankings: we have won 8 of them, and no other university has won even twice.
Among the University of Wroclaw representatives, this time, Daniel Górski, our Ph.D. student took the highest ranked place. He is currently ranked first among over 60,000 Poles in the CodinGame global leaderboard. He has nearly 20 years of commercial experience, primarily in back-end Java, where he went through his entire career path from Junior Developer to the position of Staff Software Engineer (while also exploring other career paths, including serving as a Release Manager at Poland's largest bank).
