The representation of the University of Wrocław wins in the CodinGame Fall Challenge 2023. The competition took place from December 18, 2023, to January 8, 2024. A total of 4669 individuals from around the world participated designing, implementing, and optimizing bots that competed against each other in a game designed by the organizers.

In the higher education institutions ranking, 186 universities were ranked. From University of Wroclaw there were 33 individuals actively participating.  Among them, the highest position - second in the overall ranking - was achieved by Marek Szykuła (UWr employee). Contributing significantly to the team's success, top positions has been taken also by Szymon Mikler (UWr graduate, currently AI Software Engineer at NVidia), Daniel Górski (PhD student at UWr and Staff Software Engineer at TomTom), Dominik Kowalczyk (UWr student and Junior Software Engineer at Google), and Jakub Kowalski (UWr employee).

A distinctive feature of these competitions is that employees, students, and alumni can compete together. Additionally, our students, besides intellectual satisfaction, could also earn points in the course Artificial Intelligence for Games: A Bit of Classics.
